A memorial visitation for Dr. Charles Reilly will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 3:00p to 5:00p at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, Illinois 60130.

Armand "Bud" Aranyi, age 95, of Wilmette; practice podiatry for 61 years and was a respected podiatry teacher/instructor at the Jesse Brown Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center on the west side of Chicago for over 50 years; beloved husband for 62 years of the late Joyce F. Aranyi, nee Greenberg; loving father of Kevin (Diana) Aranyi and Elyse (Mike Gascon) Aranyi-Welsch; adored grandfather of Amanda (Geon Tillinghast) Aranyi-Tillinghast, Casey (Toby Danger Bates) Welsch and Blake Aranyi; devoted son of the late Joseph and the late Elizabeth Aranyi; dear brother of the late Claudia (late Jerry) Katz and the late Violet (late Michael) Craith; treasured uncle and friend to many. Armand was an avid gardener, especially known for his magnificent hydrangeas. He enjoyed dancing with Joyce, they were members of a square-dancing club. Armand will be missed for his wonderful sense of humor and socializing with neighbors and their children. Service Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. CT at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (1 Blk N. of Lake Cook Rd.). The service will be livestreamed on Armand's webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Interment Westlawn Cemetery. Duane Brown Obituary 

Dr Duane A Brown, 74, of Springfield, died at 10;10 am on 8/31/22

Duane was born on August 26, 1948, in Springfield, the son of Harold J. and Wilma Wight Duane Brown. He married Catherine Cathy Bumpus on September 6, 1969, at St. Agnes in Springfield; she preceded him in death in 2008.  

Duane was a graduate of Griffin High School and then St. Louis University. He earned his doctorate degree from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He and Cathy established his podiatry practice, Brown Podiatric Medical Centre. Most recently, Duane was practicing at Prairie Podiatry. Duane loved his patients, and his patients loved him.

Duane was very health conscious and focused on his nutrition and working out. He also enjoyed summers at Moose Lake Resort in Minnesota, golfing, fishing, landscaping, gardening, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his many accomplishments in the medical field, he built one of the first geodesic dome homes in the Midwest. Duane was a member of the Island Bay Yacht Club, Springfield Motor Boat Club, and the American Podiatric Medical Association. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Greg and Alan Brown.He is survived by his three sons, Craig (wife, Tanya) Brown of Salem, NH, Chris (wife, Karen) Brown of Springfield, and Marc (wife, Katie) Brown of DeWitt, IA; seven grandchildren, Quinn, Leah, Hannah, and Mason Brown, and John, Leo, and Hendrix Davsko; partner, Susan Sue Davsko of Springfield; Sue s children, Adam (wife, Kam) and Justin (wife, Briana) Davsko; four siblings, Gail Brown of CA, Richard Brown of Springfield, Bruce (wife, Teresa) Brown of TX, and Kelly (husband, Troy) Lake of VT; sister-in- law, Pat Brown of Decatur; brother-in-law, Pat (Patty Long) Bumpus of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Duane was an incredible friend, teacher, role model, surgeon, neighbor, father, partner, husband, and papa. He taught us the meaning of work hard/play hard and to do both with passion and love. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Private family burial will be held at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS, St. Louis Regional Chapter, c/o Johnny s Walkers, 1950 Craig Rd., Suite 200, St. Louis, MO 63146 or a charity of the donor's choice.
